  4. This is what client-server was meant to be from the start: cheap smart CPU on the client for user interface, display pizzazz; a professionally managed database to secure the data. (But you already know I am a big fan of Helsinki!

  6. The problem is that the current generation of JAVA developers do not read any documentation about the underlying technology stacks. Does not matter which database it's. If it's not JAVA they do NOT CARE :(.

  7. Very interesting comparison and very well documented.
    The fat db is dead,long live the fat db!
    An other interesting aspect would be to compare development and maintenance costs of the software.
